After Johnny Hooker and his grifting partner cross gangster Doyle Donnegan with one of their cons, Donnegan has Hooker’s partner killed while Hooker escapes to Chicago. He teams up with Henry Orndorff to avenge his partner’s death the best way he knows how — taking his money in a classic long con. With more quick-changes than a shell game, the grifters play their parts that will either end with a big payday, or a bigger betrayal. 35mm
