Williams transforms from a doting but unreliable father Daniel Hilliard to the British nanny Mrs. Doubtfire in an elaborate ploy to see his children every day after he and his wife divorce over his irresponsibility. His alter ego becomes the parent he never was, and he realizes how he had failed as a partner to his ex-wife Miranda. But he can’t keep juggling his two lives, and once his secret is out, the family has to reconcile to the new arrangement.
