Hepburn and Tracy pair up once again in a romantic comedy about balancing married life and their careers as they are pitted against each other in court in a high profile attempted murder case. Tracy is the DA assigned to what he thinks is an easy case when a wife shoots her cheating husband. However, when his wife takes the case as the defense lawyer arguing that a man in the same situation would be treated differently, the trial begins to affect their life at home. Adam’s Rib is a clever exploration of sexism, marital relationships, and equality, wrapped in the witty script and undeniable chemistry of Hepburn and Tracy. 35mm
