Plan Ahead for Your Visit: Street Closures April 25–26
Downtown traffic will be impacted by the Capital City Half Marathon from Friday at 5:00 pm through Saturday at 4:00 pm. If you’re attending a show, plan ahead and allow extra time for traffic, parking, and arrival.
CAPA’s Broadway in the Classroom program introduces students from Title 1 high schools to musical theatre during an engaging curriculum-based program.
CAPA staff works closely with schools to implement an in-depth curriculum that explores the educational components of a Broadway show. The students will also attend the Broadway show when it comes to Columbus, providing them with a unique and memorable theatre experience.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, the program covers all costs, including tickets and transportation.
The educator applicant will be required to supply information about their school, their classroom, and the unit they plan to create around the eligible Broadway show. Units created can explore the show’s themes, characters, music, history, or technical theatre elements. The unit must culminate in students completing a final project.
Participants in the 2024-2025 Broadway in the Classroom program will attend & JULIET on Friday, February 20 at 7:30 pm.
