CAPA Appoints Chad Whittington COO

CAPA today announced the appointment of Chad Whittington to Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Whittington has served CAPA in many roles during his 17 years with the non-profit arts organization, most recently as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2010.
CAPA operates a shared services business model, providing back office services to local arts organizations. As such, Whittington's responsibilities also include serving as CFO for the Columbus Symphony, Franklin Park Conservatory, Opera Columbus, McCoy Center for the Arts, Drexel Theatre, and teh Lincoln Theatre Association.
Whittington began as part-time cleaning and operations staff for CAPA in 1998. In 1999, he joined the Accounting Department as a financial analyst, and was promoted to Controller in 2000.
Whittington is an honors graduate of The Ohio State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. In 2011, he completed the Ohio requirements to obecome a Certified Public Accountant.
Whittington was selected as a recipient of the Business First "Forty Under Forty" Award in 2014.
