Speaker Jo Ann Davidson Theatre, Riffe Center
This state-of-the-art, 903-seat facility hosts many CAPA presentations of comedy, music, dance, theatre, family entertainment, and cultural programming each year. In addition, BalletMet, The Columbus Gay Men's Chorus, the Columbus Symphony Youth Orchestra, and The Ohio State University Department of Dance all perform regularly at the Davidson Theatre.
Formerly known as the Capitol Theatre, the venue was renamed in 2016 in honor of Speaker Jo Ann Davidson, the first female speaker of Ohio’s House of Representatives.
Theatre Accessibility:
• Accessible seating is available in row W of the main lower level.
• Elevators from level 1 provide access to the main lobby and mezzanine.
• Stairs are required for seating in the pit, main lower level, main upper level , mezzanine (all seating besides row W).
• Accessible restrooms are located on the main level past the south entry doors.
• Our Universal Changing Table is available after entry to the south door on the main floor, to the left.
• Audio description and ASL services are available upon request.
• Listening devices are located on the main level south entry doors. Please ask the house manager for assistance. An ID or credit card may be required to be held during your use of the listening device.
• KultureCity locations:
- Quiet Area: Is located in the mezzanine lobby of the Davidson Theatre.
- Headphone Zone: Theatre area is considered a headphone zone.
- Sensory Bags: Please ask a House Manager for a Sensory Bag at the front entrance of the theatre; an ID or credit card may be required to be held during your use of the Sensory Bag.
