The Mezzanine Lobby
The site of many post-show receptions and cast parties, the charming
space can accommodate up to 150 for conferences, meetings, holiday
parties and receptions. A small stage and podium may be installed
for special presentations.

ADDITIONAL BASIC CHARGES:
1. Tickets
CAPA has a contract with Tickets.com for all events at the Shubert Theater. CAPA sets up and supervises each event on the system. The associated charges are as follows:
$200 per performance set-up fee
35¢ per ticket for printing fee
7% credit card commission for phone sales
5% credit card commission for window sales at the theater
2. Insurance
To be obtained by presenter/renter. The presenter/renter is required to obtain liability insurance as provided in the rental agreement.
3. Stagehands
Subject to the work rules, minimums, and overtime provisions in the
theater's contract with the IATSE.
4. Merchandise
Commission - 20% if renter or artist provide seller, 30% if theater
personnel sell. Commission is based on gross (not net of any taxes).
6% sales tax to be paid to CAPA which will be reported and paid to State
of Connecticut.
5. Theater Restoration
To maintain, preserve, and enhance the beauty and working condition
of the theater, a $3.00 per ticket "Restoration Charge" is added to
the base ticket price of each concert.
6. ASCAP and BMI and SESAC Scale fees are charged for all musical
events.
7. Handicapped accessibility
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, tenant agrees
to provide services for the visually impaired (audio description) and
hearing impaired (sign language interpretation), if requested by patrons.
CAPA may assist in producing the services of the audio describer or
sign language interpreter, but the cost will be the responsibility of
the renter. The theater is equipped with an audio enhancement system.
The theater has several locations to accommodate wheelchair or transfer
access.
The Shubert Theater is managed by CAPA,
a non-profit theater management and presenting organization based in
Columbus, Ohio.
