Live From NY's 92nd Street Y - The Coming Commercial Revolution in the Muslim World

“Live From New York’s 92nd Street Y,” is a series of lectures, interviews, and readings featuring political figures, scholars and authors. Utilizing cutting-edge satellite technology, the Y's renowned educational and cultural programming will be broadcast live to the Shubert and other community organizations across America.

The series begins with a broadcast of The Coming Commercial Revolution in the Muslim World hosted by Vali Nasr, additional program will be announced soon. Vali Nasr, a senior fellow for Middle Eastern studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, argues that the great battle for the soul of the Middle East will be fought not over religion, but over business and capitalism. Learn why extremism has become such a problem, how regional stability can evolve, and how Middle East-U.S. relations can be dramatically improved.

Admission for each event is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Admission is free for Shubert Red Carpet Club Members. “Live From New York’s 92nd Street Y” is part of the Shubert’s Speaker Series of new programming presented in the informal atmosphere of the Shubert Mezzanine Lounge. The Series is presented by the Shubert’s Red Carpet Club, a new membership program for young, professional members of the community interested in experiencing events at the Shubert while enhancing their business entertainment and networking opportunities.
